What is the Institute of Sathya Sai Education NZ Inc?

The Institute of Sathya Sai Education is an incorporated society, registered as a charitable organisation. Aware of the need for human values in society and having access to an internationally proven values programme, its aim is to share this programme and resources to meet the need in Aotearoa.

 Although still in its infancy, the Institute is undertaking the following activities:

•  is a centre of training in Sathya Sai Educare for teachers, students, parents, and educators.
•  produces new Sathya Sai Educare material for teachers.
•  continually studies and improves on techniques, methodology, course content, and lesson plans.
• promotes and supports the importance of preschool education and operates the Sathya Sai Preschool – Rongomai. It also encourages the development of further Sathya Sai Preschools
•  has a primary aim of setting up a Sathya Sai school in this country
•  supports the Sathya Sai Whangai Programme (Nurturing and supporting schools in values education.)
•  supports the development of self-improvement programmes and workshops for adults including, but not restricted to parenting skills.
•  promotes the evaluation of the effectiveness of values based education
•  maintains contact with the international network of Sai Education Providers promoting the sharing of resources, systems, strategies and information.

We believe that the understanding and practice of Human Values is crucial to the survival of the human race and of the planet itself. In the words of the late Sir Peter Blake, “We have begun, we are under way, and we have a passion. We want to make a difference.”
